Temporary housing for essential workers

There are thousands of people quarantined in their homes as we speak,thousands who are infected with the virus,and thousands of essential workers that are outside everyday commuting back and fourth using mta transportation.Every single day there are nurses,doctors,security guards,as well as construction workers who leave their homes and risk their health,their family,friends,and loved ones.Since the president's order to quarantine New York city's residents the cases for the covid 19 have doubled and continued to rise.Essential workers are forced to deal with these conditions as they commute to there jobs.The MTA has not made any effort to begin cleaning the subways and busses.Train stations are ruled by groups of homeless people as they are forced to relocate and forced down to the undergrounds of subway stations and subway carts.For each cart on a train there is at least 4-5 homeless people making it harder for essential workers to commute and follow the social distancing rule.Everyday these workers have to deal with this on there commute and then have to deal with people at there jobs.At the end of the day,at the end of there shift its back to the mta they go and then straight to there homes.The virus is spreading rapidly and there are no signs of it slowing down at all.We as a state,as a community,as fellow neighbors have to come to the realization that many of these cases are because of these essential workers interacting everyday with the outside world and then going home to there families without knowing theyre carrying the virus and begin infecting whoever is in there proximity.The state of NY should provide temporary housing for essential workers as we are the ones on the front lines dealing with these conditions.We are living in fear of what will happen next,who will we come in contact with,and if we are carrying the virus without knowing,or the fear of coming home and infecting your loved one.We understand we are needed during these difficult times but our families need and depend on us every single day.This is the time to take action to prevent the virus from spreading.
