Tell Tesco to Safeguard the Lives of People with Allergies before Someone Dies!

Today I received an email from Tesco saying that they have turned off "no substitutions" on my delivery account. They did this without asking. I originally switched on "no substitutions" because my daughter has a life-threatening nut allergy, and this is the safest way to ensure we don't inadvertently accept a product that could kill her.

After an hour on Tesco's web site, I couldn't reverse this, so I phoned them. I was told that you now have to tick "no substitutions" every time you place an order!

Think about the many thousands of people with life-threatening allergies, some of whom won't even get that email because it's an old account they no longer use, or who will place an order before seeing it, so won't know they have to tick that box every time.

It will only take one customer with a life-threatening allergy to unload their shopping without noticing the substitution, and Tesco could have a hospitalization or even a death on their hands.

Please sign this petition and demand that Tesco reinstates the ability to have "no substitutions" turned on permanently.
