Ban Snake Handling in West Virginia

Handling snakes is extremely dangerous and has caused countless deaths and injuries from the snake's poisonous venom,

and whereas several Fundamentalist Christian churches practice snake handling as part of their religious rituals,

and whereas West Virginian is the only state among the 50 United States of America where snake handling is still legal.

Therefore, the undersigned requests that the West Virginia Legislature pass a law that outlaws the dangerous practice of snake handling.
