Tell Daycare Centre a Cheese Sandwich Shouldn't Cause a Suspension

Randy Murray was taking his young son and daughter to daycare one morning.  They missed breakfast, so he made them cheese sandwiches to eat in the car.  However, his 2-year-old daughter, Faith, slipped hers into her pocket.

When they got to school, the sandwich was discovered by staff.  The daycare centre then suspended the 2-year-old child, as bringing in outside food is against their policies due to allergy reasons.  However, the family was not intending Faith to bring in outside food - it was a simple mistake made by a 2-year-old.  Instead of suspending students, the daycare centre could take a more understanding method, such as teaching their students about the food allergy risks associated with bringing food into the classroom, or implementing a policy of having parents double-check their child's belongings for food before leaving them at daycare.

Tell Centre D’Enfant Aux 4 Vents to create a more practical and reliable policy surrounding potential food allergens.
