It's Time to Make Wapak a Quiet Zone
The signatures on this petition represent citizens in Wapakoneta who feel it is time for council to take the action necessary to make Wapak a Quiet Zone, thereby making the railway crossings safer, making the health and safety of its citizens a priority, and heightening the quality of life for those living and doing business in the heart of historic Wapakoneta.
We are citizens of Wapakoneta, asking our elected officials to please take positive and unending action toward making Wapakoneta a safer, healthier and happier place to live by making Wapakoneta a Quiet Zone as other communities are doing.
Quiet Zone crossings are safer crossings. Noise pollution is a health hazard that can be avoided, but residents shouldn't be forced out of our historic neighborhoods, nor should businesses in the downtown area suffer the effects of noise pollution from train horns that are no longer necessary.
It is up to you to protect the health and safety of Wapakoneta's residents. Please move Wapakoneta forward and improve everyone's quality of life.
