The obesity rate in college students has increased by 14% in the last 30 years, while nearly 95% of students do not receive their recommended fruits and vegetables daily. The issue is not with college students because of over 60% state that they strive for convenience and nutrition when deciding on meals. College dining halls are packed with ultra-processed foods, and if there is a future in improving the health of college students, there needs to be a changed on what they are being served.
