Petition for Compassionate and Accountable Healthcare Management

  • destinatario: South Africans

We, the undersigned, representing faith-based leaders, ministries, and community organizations, hereby petition for the endorsement and adoption of the proposed Policy Framework for the Regulation of Healthcare Access for Foreign Nationals in South Africa.

Recognizing that Scripture commands us to love the foreigner (Leviticus 19:33–34) and to administer justice with integrity (Micah 6:8), we affirm that compassion and accountability are not opposites but partners in building a just society.

We therefore call upon the Church and all moral leaders to endorse this proposal as an expression of responsible Kingdom stewardship, balancing mercy with order, and love with sustainable governance.

Our request is that this framework be formally supported and recommended to relevant governmental bodies and civil-society partners as a constructive step toward:

1. Upholding human dignity and access to emergency healthcare for all persons;

2. Ensuring regulated, equitable contribution toward non-emergency healthcare services;

3. Promoting social cohesion through fairness and shared responsibility; and

4. Restoring confidence in the moral leadership of the faith community on issues of national concern.

By signing or verbally endorsing this petition, we declare our commitment to a system that reflects the Kingdom principle of order, the constitutional value of equality, and the moral duty of compassion.
