Emotional Intelligence in the Classrooms

Day after day there are more victims of Domestic Violence. statistics show a increase in the victims at ages as as 16,17,18,21. As an educator this worries me because Domestic Violence is a chain and a cycle that repeats from generation to generation. For this I considered starting a class that shows the students how to deal with their emotions. That it is ok to get upset but isn’t ok to hit an other person. In the higher level classes we can talk about healthy relationships and what is ok and what isn’t ok . This can be step in the right direction to stopping Domestic Violence and it’s growing problem here in our country . Of course parents will be needed to sign a permission slip so the class is voluntary.
