Tell Louisiana Lawmakers: Improve Access To Critical Vaccines
The COVID-19 pandemic has again highlighted important access to life-saving vaccines. Louisiana seniors rely on vaccines to help prevent the spread of diseases and to live full and healthy lives. However, vaccines covered under Medicare Part D, a federal health insurance for people 65 or order, increasingly have cost-sharing burdens associated with them. Many Part D beneficiaries are left unable to afford the care they need and are forced to choose between their health and financial well-being.
Fortunately, Congress is currently considering legislation that would eliminate out-of-pocket costs associated with vaccines covered under Medicare Part D and will improve access to vaccines, stop the spread of communicable illnesses, and save countless lives.
Help us protect Louisiana's seniors by urging Congress to support improving access for vaccines covered under Medicare Part D.
Join us today and tell your members of Congress to put Louisiana seniors first and support the Protecting Seniors Through Immunization Act (HR1978/S912). This would improve access to critical immunizations by eliminating costs for Medicare Part D vaccines. Send a message to Congress today.

Subject Line: Support Reducing Vaccine Cost Sharing Burden for Seniors — Pass HR1978 and S912
Dear [Legislator Name],
Immunizations help prevent unnecessary hospitalizations, expensive health interventions, and additional physician visits and medication costs. Louisiana's seniors rely on vaccines to live full, healthy lives but often experience high out-of-pocket cost burdens for vaccines covered under Medicare Part D.
As your constituent, I urge you to protect older adults in our community and support the bipartisan Protecting Seniors through Immunization Act (HR1978/S912), which would reduce cost-sharing burdens for Medicare Part D vaccines and improve access to care. Please help keep Louisiana safe from dangerous disease outbreaks.
