Tell Congress to cap out of pocket costs for Medicare Part D now!

Thanks to a loophole in Medicare Part D, seniors are on the hook for thousands of dollars on top of the prices they already pay for a plan that's supposed to cover their prescription drug needs. You may know patients who are negatively impacted.

Bottom line: those who are 65 or older and have a chronic illness often find that out-of-pocket costs jeopardize their ability to pay for care. If nothing is done to stop this, millions of seniors will have to choose between life necessities, such as groceries, heat, etc. or their health.

Sign your name: tell Congress to cap out of pocket costs for Medicare Part D now!

To whom it may concern:

As your constituent, I urge you to work with your fellow members to cap costs to Medicare Part D. Every day, low-income seniors are making difficult choices to make ends meet. In some cases, patients are splitting their pills in half in order to put food on the table.

The lack of an out-of-pocket cap on Medicare Part D unnecessarily imposes a financial burden on many of the most vulnerable members of society. Capping out-of-pocket costs changes that. It's a solution that will accomplish both Democratic and Republican priorities such as reducing prescription costs and alleviating financial burdens on low-income seniors.

As a concerned constituent, I'm asking you to do something about this. It's clear that this is an issue that affects everyone, not just seniors or the chronically ill. This issue cannot be neglected any longer. I urge you to pass legislation capping out-of-pocket costs on Medicare Part D. We need your help on this critical issue. Thank you.
