Support Resources for Caregivers

Alzheimer's disease is a chronic neurodegenerative disease that destroys brain cells, causing thinking ability and memory to deteriorate over time. Alzheimer's disease is not a normal part of aging, and is irreversible. It is a devastating disease that not only affects the individual diagnosed with it, but also their loved ones, especially their caregivers. Caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer's often sacrifice their own physical, emotional, and financial well-being to provide the necessary care for their loved ones.

Despite the importance of their role, caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer's often struggle to access the resources and support they need to provide the best care possible. The Alzheimer Society of Toronto is changing that.

The Alzheimer Society of Toronto offers many free services to help caregivers, including counseling, support groups, dementia workshops, care navigation, courses, and much more. We also provide a range of activities to enhance social inclusion, physical well-being and explore the benefits of creative therapies for people with dementia and their care partners.

Supporting caregivers means providing better care for those who need it. With your support, we can continue to provide free valuable resources for caregivers and those with Alzheimer's and dementia.

Sign the pledge and show your support for the dedicated caregivers who provide vital care to their loved ones.
