Make downtown great again!

Come to downtown Stillwater, where buildings are boarded up and covered in plastic! That is the curb appeal of our local landscape. Enticing isn't it? How is it that someone can start a project and leave the exterior of a commercial building unfinished for years without any completion date insight?! For well over a year, downtown merchants and consumers have been staring at unfinished buildings. We need a rule: when exterior construction to a building has begun, it should be completed by a year. That means windows installed and entrances completed. Several local merchants strive to make their businesses welcoming and beautiful, all the while having to deal with eyesores next door or on the corner.
