Shut Down Orca Shows – It's Time for Freedom

Orcas are intelligent, social, and emotionally complex animals that belong in the open ocean — not confined to concrete tanks. At SeaWorld, these majestic creatures are denied the space, freedom, and stimulation they need to thrive. Instead, they're forced to perform for entertainment and live in artificial environments that cannot meet their physical or psychological needs.

Research has shown that orcas in captivity often suffer from stress, depression, and health problems. Many display abnormal behaviors, like swimming in circles, aggression, and self-harm — signs of severe psychological distress. Some die young, never reaching the life expectancy they would in the wild.

SeaWorld has made some changes in response to public pressure, but orcas are still held captive in unnatural conditions. I believe it's time to do better — for them.

Releasing these orcas into carefully managed seaside sanctuaries would allow them to live out the rest of their lives in peace, with access to real ocean water, space to swim, and freedom from performance schedules.

This isn't about punishing SeaWorld — it's about doing what's right for the animals who have suffered long enough. They deserve dignity, care, and a life that resembles what nature intended.
