As consumers of the market, we should avoid companies where the CEO are known to trophy hunt, like the CEO at Jimmy John's and at GoDaddy. In turn, we should take our business elsewhere to take a stand for animal welfare.
Trophy hunters are known to relentlessly kill lions, elephants, leopards, etc. just to get a “thrill” out of it. This concept sounds terrifyingly similar to the early stages of a psychopath. Before moving on to humans, psychopaths tend to torture and take a strong liking in taking the life out of small animals for no sane reason. This is essentially the same for trophy hunters. They kill beautiful wildlife that have high cognitive functioning and an ability to feel pleasure and pain. Instead of killing animals for fun, these people should find a better/healthier activity that can actually benefit our society.
Worldwide, conservation of the environment and wildlife are highly stressed because that is what is needed in order to have a desirable future. Moreover, the victims of this fowl activity are living creatures that are, or are close to, being endangered. Yet trophy hunting is still taking place and it seems self-defeating in all our conservation efforts. This needs to be changed.
Biodiversity of this planet and the flourishing life of all species should be taken more seriously. Trophy hunting, poaching, and any similar activity should all be illegal, everywhere.
