Medicare & Social Security Benefits

We are VERY concerned about a growing threat to your Medicare Benefits. They want to change Medicare in ways that would either cut your benefits or force you to pay more to maintain your health care. Those plans could expose you to rising health care costs and deprive you of the protection of guaranteed coverage. At the same time, Congress is debating the so-called age-rating bill that would allowinsurance companies to charge older people five times more than other people for the same health care plan. ITS UNFAIR!!

WE URGE YOU TO OPPOSE ANY EFFORTS TO CUT MY MEDICARE BENEFITS. ALONG WITH TENS OF MILLIONS OF AMERICANS I HAVE PAID INTO MEDICARE MY LIFETIME, AND I COUNT ON THE BENEFITS THAT HAVE BEEN PROMISED ME!!!!!
I ALSO URGE YOU TO TAKE ACTION TO UPDATE AND STRENGTHEN SOCIAL SECURITY. IF YOU FAIL TO ACT FUTURE RETIREES COULD LOSE MORE THAN 20% OF THEIR BENEFITS. SOCIAL SECURITY IS THE LARGEST SOURCE OF INCOME FOR MOST OLDER AMERICANS, AND MANY SENIORS ALREADY LIVE NEAR OR BELOW THE POVERTY LINE. SUBSTANTUAL CUTS WILL DRIVE MILLIONS MORE INTO POVERTY. WE DONT WANT TO SEE THAT!!! BE FAIR!!!
