Worthing Car Parks

Worthing Borough Council have taken back control of the car parks in the town, they have decided to raise the price of a season ticket by 150% without any consultation or notice.  They will also not be improving any of the car parks in the short term.  This means that in Teville Gate where our staff park their cars, there will still be no CCTV to protect them and their vehicles, few patrols and still plenty of tramps, needles and feces to negotiate on your way back to your car.

These changes add at the very least an additional £25 per month on to hard working people's living costs.  As a business we would assume NCP were already making a profit out of the car parks, therefore it is clearly obvious that the council is not only profiteering but also punishing honest tax payers to further cover costs and holes in their own budgets.

If you've had the pleasure to walk down the High Street in Worthing you'll see the town is really struggling, we need to encourage shops and businesses to invest here and we need to encourage people to come to the town, extortianate pricing of our car parks and infa-structure isn't going to help that, it might make the council look good in the short term but it does nothing for the long term good of Worthing.

Please help us and other businesses in Worthing by signing this petition and hopefully help to get the council to take a more realistic look at their pricing structure
