Demand an End to at-will states

Someone I know was released from their work duties with no explanation and no actual reason as to why they were released. The employer hired this person and had only worked for 3 days. He was told over the three days "We hope you stay." "You are doing a great job." This individual was tasked with running a Donut Shop by himself only after ONE day of employment. I am concerned because it is unfair that someone can release you from employment without reason at all. I would like to see this law changed in ALL states that uphold it. It is truly unfair!
