Demand higher minimum sentences for sex offenders

Today I witnessed another rapist walk away with a ridiculous sentence for the vicious and brutal rape of a woman. As Canadians, we need to demand higher penalties for sex offence crimes. This man will serve 6 months of a 2 year sentence for destroying the life and soul of a beautiful woman. 6 months for taking away her right to her body and her right to say no. We need stronger sentencing to support these survivors who have bravely confronted their offenders. 6 months is an insult. We need to lobby for change. Would 6 months be enough if it were your wife, daughter, mother, sister? Please sign this petition to demand our politicians make these sentences reflect the crimes committed.
