Save The Brick Streets on West LaSalle Avenue

You may have noticed they are paving West LaSalle Avenue. There are a number of us who live on West LaSalle who noticed the brick that was revealed when paving crews milled our pavement today. It’s beautiful and we want them to restore the brick instead of paving over it. We contacted the historical association to see what they can do and they said they would try and help. They also said we should try and rally as much support from neighbors and residents in LaSalle as possible, hence my appeal to you.

The brick not only looks beautiful, but it will slow the speeders way down making what is now a speeders thoroughfare much more family friendly.

Our city councilman says the more interest we generate the better. Right now the names of all WEST LASALLE Avenue residents added to this post would be great, but we will happily accept the names of all those in support!
