UberBLACK is now accepting new accounts. All new vehicles added to UberBLACK will receive both uberX and UberBLACK requests. There will be no option to receive only UberBLACK requests.
What does this mean to us Uber Black Drivers. It means that consumers will no longer order Uber Black Vehicles when they can order Uber X at a rate of 65 percent lower and still get a Black Car to show up. This totally knocks us out of making any real money given the high standards we have to keep. Uber wants only the newest cars on the platform , Uber requires its Uber Black Drivers to get 1.5 million insurance . UBER is stating that any new Black car driver with a rating under 4.8 will only receive Uber X calls . Most of the existing Uber Black Drivers have under a 4.8 , so it's really the company making it hard on its Drivers and putting them at an unfair advantage.
We are asking that you sign this Petition to let the Loving People at Uber know that we do have a voice. All it would take is a day in which none of the Partners on Uber Black signed on the system. That would get their attention. But we can also just show them in numbers how many Uber Black Drivers are against this change.
