Protect Brooklyn Bridge Park from the BQE

Five million people visited Brooklyn Bridge Park between Memorial Day and Labor Day this year. The Park is beloved by Brooklynites and enjoyed by visitors from across the city and the world. Not only are the lives of millions of people enriched by the mile of park along the waterfront, it also represents one of the richest natural ecosystems in the city. The proposal to temporarily reroute the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway over the Brooklyn Bridge Park would have a terrible impact on people and wildlife. We urge you to add your voice to express that you want to protect Brooklyn Bridge Park from a highway running over it and that the DOT should explore alternative options.
