Shut down the tax hike law

I feel like Alabama state politicians have misrepresented the feelings of the people who elected them serve. They voted for a 10 cent per dollar gas tax to cover state infrastructure repair costs. This tax was developed by politicians and many believe the money will serve to increase the politician’s salaries instead of the infrastructure. I feel like the citizens should be allowed to vote on this instead of forcing it on us.
