Every year thousands of small cetaceans (Dolphins and Whales) are slaughtered in the most horrific way. They are forced on to beaches and into coves in there hundreds and there they are slowly slaughtered in front of their family members and in a wash of blood. In Taiji the 'pretty' dolphins are taken away and sold to provide entertainment in a life of slavery, there family members and friends are all killed in horrific slaughters. In the Faroe Islands 'Pods' of Pilot Whales are driven to the killing beaches of the Islands in what is called the 'Grindrap' (the killing of whales) they are hooked in their blowholes and dragged on to the beach where they are simply cut open and left to die. The blood, the screams and the thrashing of the water is a disgraceful sight and treatment of what is a peaceful, intelligent and graceful being, one that wouldn't hesitate to help a human in distress.
The IWC (International Whaling Commission) protects large cetaceans under law but allows the killing and slaughter of small cetaceans. This must stop, the IWC must change its policy's to include protection for these small beautiful creatures. With your help the policies of the IWC can be changed so that small cetaceans across the world can be protected.
