Indonesia - Ban the Use of Wire Traps That Kill Tigers

One of the rarest great cats in the world was lost 2 May, 2015, when local police in Pelangai Gadang village, Western Sumatra, Indonesia, responded to a farmer's report that he had ensnared and killed a Sumatran tiger.

Experts estimate that just 400-500 tigers now live in Sumatra, with only 166 in a park near where the tiger was snared.

With so few Sumatran tigers remaining in the world, it’s time for Indonesia to end the use of wire traps that can ensnare and kill tigers. Please sign this urgent petition now and help cast a lifeline for these imperiled cats.
