Appoint a task force to address the North Tryon St. Quality of Life

We need a solution to the violence, drug use, lack of public safety, and low esteem of the North Tryon Street transition area to Uptown Charlotte.The section of N.Tryon between 16th Street and The Church Street Connector and the surrounding neighborhoods are unsafe, befouled, and neglected by the City. They are abetted by the County by their indifference to our situation. We demand a Task Force be appointed by the mayor and supported by City Council to bring all stake holders, neighborhood leaders and other interested parties to investigate the obstacles,react to the complaints, bring recalcistrant parties to the table, and develop a real plan to solve the ongoing problems of the area.

We need to unlock the potential of the area, we have broad support, as shown by our signatures.
We do not believe our efforts to get action are being addressed.
We believe that the city is not addressing the fundamental issues underlying the problems. Therefore we respectfully demand a Task Force be appointed immediately to work on real solutions that can be implemented in the shortest time possible.
