Against Long Beach Widening of Lake Shore Drive

Long Beach is proposing to repave and widen LSD. Voice your opinions as we've already spent $5,835 on design. We can get a max of $1m per year in grants from state but will need to contribute 20%. Documents shared with TC on budget but not the public. Also note we are over budget for the year.

A quote from the council "Don't think it will be as painful as we thought for LSD residents". The majority of LSD is 18.5 and they propose moving it to 22 or 24. They will NOT include bike or walking lanes, just merely widening it. They will be taking away driveways, mailboxes, planters and tearing up parts of driveways that they have previously permitted for homeowners to maintain/improve. Some homes will loose their only parking.
