Please, we need many voices  to help
fight this WAR ON WOLVES

I am asking for the United States Dept of Agriculture, William Clay and Tom Vilsack and U.S Wildlife Services to take a strong position against state wolf management techniques such as those being used in Wyoming, and Montana for example are extremely aggressive.
Wyoming wolf recovery to allow 100 wolves and 10 breeding pairs I have been looking at the populations of wolves in Wyoming over the past decade Wyoming from (2002 population 271) to( population of 320 in 2009) and 343 as of at the end 2011 really not a significant change not valid for a delisting.

Many other states are following in Idaho's and Wyoming aggressive wolf Management techniques.

I am asking you to please change your approach to the management of wolves state by state, Wyoming has a very aggressive plan hunting wolves in 80% of the state which is known as a predator zone. Wolves that disperse from the protection of Yellowstone National Park are being killed once they step outside of the park boundaries. Just as with the delisting they go from being protected to hunted.
Hunters and trappers killed more than 540 wolves in 2011-2012
You can find information about wolves and there persecution by ranchers and hunters on many Wildlife conservation pages

The desision to delist the wolves was not based on a scientific or ecological studies that are benificial to the ecosystem. The livestock industry and some sportsmen’s organizations, each separately opposed to wolf conservation, convinced Congress in April 2011 to delist Northern Rockies wolves from the Endangered species act.

        • Please will the US wildlife Services and other important governmental bodies take a more conservative approach to outr nations wildlife there are many organizations and the public that want to see the wolves persecution ended wolves deserve to live a life free from the threat of man. The latest news to get  a buffer zone and no hunting surrounding Yellowstone after the loss of wolves that dispersed from yellowstone or were cruelly lured out. was denied and hunting is allowed to resume.  Hunters are to eager, and believe the wolf is dessimating there precious elk herds truth is wolves are benificial to the success of healthy ungulate herds and reducing the over grazing of the land they keep the herds on the move and prey on weaker and older members of the herd hunters kill animals in the prime heathy and robust and weaken the herds. and ranchers just hate the wolf wolf predation is minimal as compared to the mortality rates from other causes. disease, weather, and other predators. do they not realize they are impacting the successful recovery of the wolf. And killing a valuable and benificial and beautiful animal that deserves to live free from the threat of man.

I am ashamed with fish and game who sell these licsences to hunt wolves as there motive to gain revenue they sell many more licenses then there are wolves.

        •  Relist the wolf on the endangered species list   before its too late.

        • end the hunting season and end the sells of hunting liscences

        • make it illegal to kill a collared wolf, enforce laws protecting wildlife

        • acknowledge  the many voices that want to fight for wolves and wildlife

        • ban trapping its a hazard to people and pets and other imperiled wildlife

How can reducing them to such low numbers help the long term successfull recovery.

The desision to delist the wolves was not based on a scientific or ecological studies that are benificial to the ecosystem. This decision is only to benifit ranchers and hunters and the revenue source for the fish and game. The livestock industry and some sportsmen’s organizations, each separately opposed to wolf conservation, convinced Congress in April 2011 to delist Northern Rockies wolves from the Endangered species act. The desision to delist the wolf was not carefully considered and seems Wyoming only to eager to begin wiping out wolves was following in Montana and Idaho delisting. Only approved because of a biased and one sided votes from hunters and ranchers. Even to the point of going over the publics head before any opposition from the public can be heard.

If the ranchers and hunters can convince congress what about the rest of the nations people please hear us and realize there are many more wildlife advocates and the public that want this war on wolves to end!!

Please will the US wildlife Services and other important governmental bodies take a more conservative approach to our nations wildlife. There are many organizations and the public that want to see the wolves persecution ended.

  •   Wolves deserve to live a life free from the threat of man.

  •  The latest news to get a buffer zone and no hunting surrounding Yellowstone after the loss of wolves that dispersed from yellowstone or were cruelly lured out. was denied and hunting is allowed to resume.

Hunters kill animals in their prime, heathy and robust and weaken the herds. and ranchers compete for the land. conflicts with  the wild is an age old story, wolf predation is minimal as compared to the mortality rates from other causes. disease, weather, injuries due to terrain and other predators .And there are many organizations willing to help ranchers with  predators not just wolves.  They do not realize they are impacting the successful long term recovery of the wolf. And killing a valuable and benificial and beautiful animal that deserves to live free from the threat of man.

  • I ask you to carefully consider and acknowledge this pettition to  help end this war on wolves.

  • relisting them in Wyoming before it too late and their numbers are so reduced due to hunting they wont make a recovery and what was the point of bringing them back if the ideas is to erradicate them once again.

  • mandate that they enforce wildlife protection laws and taking a collared wolf should be illegal

  • Ban the use of trapping its cruel and a danger to pets and people and other imperiled wildlife

  • acknowledge the public outcry and opposition to the mass killing of wolves

  • oppose trophy hunting of predators such as wolves
