End the Supreme Court’s Secret “Shadow Docket” Rulings

In recent years, the Supreme Court has increasingly relied on its so-called "shadow docket" to make major decisions—often late at night, with little explanation, no full briefing, and no oral arguments.

These aren't minor procedural rulings. They've affected immigration policy, reproductive rights, environmental protections, and more—impacting millions of people without the transparency or accountability Americans expect from the highest court in the land.

When decisions are made behind closed doors, without clear reasoning, it undermines public trust and weakens our democracy.

The Supreme Court should not be able to quietly reshape national policy without explaining itself. This should be self-evident, and Chief Justice John Roberts should end this practie immediately.

But if Roberts won't act, Congress has the power—and the responsibility—to do it instead. Lawmakers can:

- Require written explanations for emergency rulings
- Limit when the shadow docket can be used
- Ensure major decisions go through full briefing and argument

Add your name now to demand transparency, accountability, and fairness from the Supreme Court.

No more secret rulings. No more justice in the dark.
