Presidential Medal of Freedom for James Shaw, Jr.

James Shaw, Jr., a 29 year old unarmed man, disarmed the Waffle House shooter on April 22, 2018. He'd already been grazed with a bullet, but this did not stop him from rushing the shooter, grabbing the barrel of the gun (thereby sustaining burns on his hand), and tossing the gun over the counter, out of reach of the culprit. This young man deserves the highest praise, including the highest civilian honor available, the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
