NO BARBED WIRE!!!!!

The Connecticut state DEEP has decided to install a barbed wire fence in very close proximity to an active osprey nest. ALthough there is a defininite need for a fence due to human trespassers, the barbed wire is way too dangerous for the surrounding wildlife. They suggested waiting til the osprey leave for the season however when they return to the nest in the spring the last thing they will be expecting is to land on barbed wire. The osprey are familiar with their surroundings. They perch on the lamposts, spires and roofs and antennas on the buildings. Please help me to pursuade the State to not install the barbed wire portion of the fence as it poses an imminent danger to not only the osprey but other shoreline birds and wildlife. One injury or death that could result is one too many.
