Stop guns from coming into our schools and demand for metal detectors to be placed to protect our children!

As a parent myself, I'm sure plenty of you all can relate in knowung that it is a disgusting feeling when we send our precious children to public schools and get to the automated phone call or see in the news that at least once every week it seems (or more) that a school is or has been in danger of a student with a handgun or a social media threat stating to do something to your child's school. These children are the future of our country and we need better for them. Stand with me and sign this petition and maybe we will get someone to listen and help put an end to the gun violence at our schools.  Parents also need to pay more attention to what their children are getting involved in and getting their hands on. It could mean saving a life or preventing a life-or-death situation for your child or someone elses. Some of the schools are already engaging in active shooter drills and that's fine, but more needs to be done to prevent these weapons from getting into the schools in the first place. I have two children myself, one in middle and one in high school, and both of them have already had students found with weapons in their schools and social media threats this year. Let's find a way to end this, and end it now!
