Puppy store owner, Gloria Lee and her accomplice, Kirk Bills, are accused of attempting to burn to death 27 puppies in a case of arson that has shocked our community, the nation, and the world. Thankfully, the puppies were saved by the fire sprinkler system and the quick response of firefighters. Nevada Voters For Animals fought to have Lee & Bills charged with 27 additional counts of felony animal cruelty under Cooney's Law (felony animal cruelty law in NV - which we authored). Lee has a criminal past which includes prior run ins with the law for animal cruelty. It is shocking to the conscience that anyone would want to harm animals let alone INTENTIONALLY light a puppy store on fire, dousing cages of puppies with flammable liquid and lighting fires all over the store. Thankfully, it was all allegedly caught on surveillance video!
We've seen stories where pet owners are killed in house fires because they ran in to save their pets!
Lee and Bills are a danger to society and are accused of attempting the most heinous crimes anyone can imagine - If they are convicted....Lock them up and throw away the key.
Thank you to everyone who has fought, so far, to hold Lee and Bills accountable. But, the fight is FAR from over.
