It is shameful that newborn coyote pups and foxes are taken from their dens to be shot for no reason while many other animals lose their lives and limbs in traps and snares! Others get asphyxiated from poisonous gases thrown in their dens! Why is there so much abuse unregulated, allowing for extreme amounts of animal slaughter??
The number of illegal wildlife slaughter is on the rise because of how regulations and laws have been set up by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Its activities are not guided by the kind of legally binding regulations that typically structure other federal agencies and require transparency. The few figures released by Wildlife Services offer a chilling portrait of a cold-blooded killing operation. Despite repeated calls over the last century from investigative panels, scientists and legislators for greater transparency and use of science-based models to guide the agency's work, little has changed.
For decades there's been no shortage of evidence documenting problems with the rogue agency's indiscriminate killing tactics that lead to the deaths of thousands of non-target animals every year. Rules and regulations need to change with transparency and clearness in order to stop the unwarranted and illegal slaughter of beautiful, defenseless wildlife.
This is not to say that the Wildlife Federation and its services are all bad. They do try to control populations of invasive species that threaten the survival of endangered species. They do need to step up their game in an effort to protect and preserve the wildlife that makes the world a beautiful place!! Worldwide Wildlife Federation – All the wildlife that roams our earth need to be protected from unlawful, cruel slaughter and sure death. Please strengthen your regulations regarding the health and safety of all wildlife with more transparent, clear rules and policies that will put an end to unwarranted, cruel demise of all those without a voice who roam our earth.
