HELP SAVE CATHERINE LABOURE SPECIAL EDUCATION PROGRAM FOR SPECIAL NEEDS AND THE INTELLECTUALLY DISABLED FROM CLOSING!!!!!

As of Friday, May 26th the Brooklyn Diocese deemed our school for special education and special needs children be closed permanently come this August. These beautiful children whom were thriving, and have been together since they are age 5, (most now in their late teens) will be forced to separate due to lack of care and acknowledgement by the Brooklyn Diocese. People that are suppose to care about our children's wellbeing, don't and have never cared at all. A number of teachers will also be without a job, but more importantly these children will be without the guidance of professionals that have helped them thus far in their lives. They have crossed milestones and accomplished things that they were told can never be. Please don't let this just happen without a fight. These kids deserve a chance to have their life long dreams, fulfilled. They deserve to remain with one another where they know comfort and stability. Please sign this petition to save our children! Please. God bless you all.

To Whom it may concern:My name is Elizabeth Bisciello. I am a proud employee of the Catherine Laboure School in Canarsie, Brooklyn. I am beyond outraged, disheartened and disgusted at your decision to close our beloved school come this August. These children have thrived, blossomed, and surpassed so many trials, goals and tribulations since being enrolled. They have seen their "light" at the end of very dark tunnels. They have grown personally, emotionally, physically with all the love, determination, hope and stability that has been instilled in each and every one of them by the caring professionals that work with them, tirelessly. WE WILL NOT go down without a fight. We WILL be heard. These children should never be faced with the fear of leaving a place where all their needs are being met and embraced. We WILL be heard! This is NOT the end.

Good afternoon, everyone

Please please please keep sharing this to everyone you know. We need all the signatures we can get so our voices will rise above and be heard. To allow this to happen would be an injustice to children and young adults, not only in our beloved "family" school, but universally, for those that cannot speak up for themselves.
