Please sign and share this petition worldwide on all your media sites to encourage the Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs to stop issuing hunting permits that allows high rolling foreign visitors to kill highly imperiled Houbara Bustard birds in the country.
Hunters across the Middle East and India have killed the Houbara Bustard for centuries for its purported qualities as an aphrodisiac, and bird numbers have plummeted.
It is illegal to hunt the Houbara Bustard in Pakistan . . . if you are Pakistani. However, Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to issue permits for royalty and high rollers from Saudi Arabia and other countries to stage elaborate hunts in Pakistan and flaunt local prohibitions and bag limits on this highly imperiled bird.
The Houbara Bustard's long-term survival is already in doubt due to habitat loss and widespread hunting. Please urge Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs to stop issuing permits to wealthy foreigner who will make the situation even worse.
