The dress code at my school is ridiculous and each and every girl in my school hates it. They say the dress code is to minimize the distractions, if anything the dress code is MORE of a distraction because when you get pulled out into the hallway to get told your clothes "aren't appropriate" it's more of a distraction than anything. The other day I got in trouble for wearing tights under my shorts. I don't think it's fair that girls need to be discriminated against because of the boy's "sexual urges". I think it should be our decision of what we want to wear. Let me explain some of our dress code, shorts/skirts have to be past our fingertips, no spaghetti straps, no hats, no stomach showing, and no bra straps showing. The no bra straps showing is pathetic because it's natural, like what is someone gonna look at my bra strap and be like "oh my god I'm going to die! Her bra strap is showing!!" Like all girls have boobs and we wear bras for support and comfort. In conclusion, me and like a million other girls want the dress code to be changed or stopped.
