In 2015 alone, 2.1 billion pounds of textiles ended up in landfills. These textiles release toxins into the environment through the dyes used during their production, which have led to habitat destruction for many organisms across the nation. Most of these textiles are by produced by large clothing corporation as a by-product to their new clothing.
