Stop permanent dog tethering

Permanent dog tethering is a common habit in Canada/USA and should come to an end. It's torture and should be banned, or at least regulated so that dog owners have to make sure that dogs have shelter, enough space, food and water and tethering should not be allowed 24/7.

Early July 2014 Hon. Danny Soucy (Local Government Minister of New Brunswick)  proposed changes to existing regulations. So far people in New Brunswick are allowed to tether dogs outside 24 hours a day and 365 days a year.

The proposal would make it illegal to tether a dog outside between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. which is reasonable and enforcable.

We want to show the Assembly that we support this proposal as it is a great step in the right direction and those animals need OUR support.

We highly appreciate your support, but we need more votes. Our petition doesn't seem to be very spectacular, but if successful It will help hundreds, if not thousands, of poor dogs out of a so far miserable life.
We want to show the assembly of New Brunswick that people do care, other than the own provincial SPCA. Their president thinks it isn't necessary, because, quote :"It 's not enforceable."
Even if it's not enforceable 100% (which law is?), it will certainly change a lot.
