Save the York Fair

The York Fair is an annual fair held every year in York, Pennsylvania. For decades the fair was held in September, perfect time for a fair. The weather was cooling off, the harvest season was starting, and kids were stating school just in time to do art projects. Now the fair is going to be moved to July/August. This is a bad idea for several reasons: The weather that time of year can be very hot, with temperatures in the high 80's or low 90's, the harvest won't be ready yet hence no crops for display, school won't be in so no school projects, and many people vacation that time of year and will have used their off days, and money, for traveling. Everyone I've talked to have opposed to the change and feel out fair belongs in September. I also know for a fact several regulars won't be going next year. Please sign this petition and save one of York's most beloved events for future generations.
