No Round-a-bout at Kanner Hwy and Pratt Whitney Rd

The Florida DOT has proposed adding a roundabout at the intersection of Kanner Highway and Pratt Whitney Road. This intersection is used by a variety of different people and industries and we feel this will have a negative impact on many of them. Martin County's Crystal Lake Elementary School Parents will feel the impact in the carline, there is also a local high school nearby which will flood the roundabout with new, inexperienced drivers trying to navigate it, our agricultural industry will also be impacted as this is a major highway truckers use to get to our western communities to bring agricultural products back and forth. Semi trucks in roundabouts are forced to take up space in more than one lane, blocking other traffic as well as being forced to hit curbs, often causing damage to their trucks and the roundabout's property. There is also a local gas station, Sunoco, that could be impacted by patrons having difficulties getting into and out of their parking lot.

There is already an existing traffic light that keeps traffic flowing on this HIGH speed highway, this is not a residential or city road.
