Petition to Protect and Preserve Minto's Community Soccer Pitches

We are asking for community support to help protect and preserve our local soccer fields. These fields are an important shared space used by players of all ages for recreation, training, and organized sport.

Unfortunately, ongoing inappropriate use — including driving and parking on the fields — is causing significant damage to the playing surfaces. In previous years, this damage led the Minto United Soccer executive to make the difficult decision to abruptly end the season early, prioritizing the safety of youth players and community members.

This kind of misuse creates unsafe conditions for athletes, leads to costly repairs, and reduces access for teams and families who rely on these fields.

We believe these fields should be respected and maintained for their intended purpose. By supporting this petition, you are helping to keep our pitches safe, playable, and in good condition for everyone to enjoy now and in the future
