Most experts agree that we are losing upwards of 80,000 hectares of rainforest every day. Tigers 🐯, orangutans, jaguars 🐆, Amur leopards 🐆, rhinos 🦏, birds, bats 🦇, monkeys 🐒, other primates and other wild animals are losing their homes and being killed. Lovely, oxygen-producing trees are being destroyed, having a negative effect on the environment. Indigenous peoples are losing the rights to the land and losing their lives and livelihoods. Other, non-indigenous people are also losing their livelihoods. We need rainforests.
Also, millions, if not billions, of people, including children die due to malnutrition, illnesses from drinking dirty water, malaria, zika (possibly), war and drought. This CANNOT continue. The Gates Foundation may be doing good, but they should up it and do as much good as they possibly can (ethically and whilst still looking after themselves and those around them).
Also, animals are in need, too. Many billions of animals are abused by cruel individuals, experimented on, killed for food, suffer as strays, abandoned, neglected, suffer due to illness and injury and are killed in shelters and "rescues" and are killed as strays. Bill Gates and family and others involved with Bill Gates, animals need help, too.
Going vegan could help. It may lower your carbon footprint 👣, improve your health and improve your chances of a longer and healthier life, and it would mean that you won't be directly supporting the abuse and killing of animals for meat, fish, dairy and eggs.
You could also help sea life by going plastic-free and encouraging others to do the same. Eating no fish may also help when it comes to not playing a part in the devastation of fish and ocean/sea wildlife.
Please, please, please do your best for the environment, animals and people.
