STOP KINDERMORGAN'S TRANS MOUNTAIN - PIPELINE

Stop the Trans Mountain pipeline and oil tanker approval. Approval of Kinder Morgan’s Trans Mountain project will have significant consequences on climate change as the increasing world climate temperature is already near the 1.5C level, Antarctica has new deep breaks in the ice believed due to the increased temperature of the ocean (which if it breaks will increase sea level 3 m), and this pipeline poses a risk for inhabitants of the Salish Sea. This is counter to the signing of COP21.

Even without an oil spill, even without ship strikes, the underwater noise from increased shipping alone will push the endangered Southern Resident killer whales further toward extinction.

For your children and for your grandchildren, do not let this project go forward. Move Alberta to solar and wind and use the oil subsidies to retrain the workers and to support them until retrained.

The climate change cannot handle any tar sands bitumen.

Please leave it in the ground.  This is only fair for our Indigenous members of Canada.  They understand the importance of climate change and living one with the earth.   The oil sands is against living one with the earth.

We need to send our message to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and tell him that he must rescind the Kinder Morgan proposal in the best interest of all young citizens of the planet.

1.  Leave oil sands in the ground.

2.  Protect Mother Earth.

3.  Protect our children and grandchildren from climate change.

4.  Keep our environment sustaintable through biodiversity.
