every year the poppies are sold just inside the door.this morning, an 89 year old veteran was selling them outside in the cold.a customer took his freezing cold hand and asked why he had set up outside.his reply....the Manager told me( not asked me)to move outside. The customer found the Manager and challenged him. He said that they had their promotion at the door which meant that there was no room for the poppy stand. It was pointed out that if they moved their promotion a few feet in there would be space.
"we,re trying to run a business" came his reply and " no one else has complained". Surely even one complaint is enough to look into it....to make an 89 year old Gentleman stand out in the cold...and he was freezing deserves better?
the Manager,s reply..." Well he will have to wear a warmer coat tomorrow"
this is is disgraceful and really upset me...what do you think?
