Sign now to stand against drunk drivers!

It's Crime Victims' Rights Week and Mothers Against Drunk Driving® (MADD) is calling out drunk and drug-impaired driving for what it is: A VIOLENT, 100% preventable CRIME.

Did you know that drunk driving kills someone every 39 minutes in America? It is the No. 1 cause of death on America's roads, and the problem has worsened since the start of the pandemic. This is unacceptable!

Since our founding, MADD has helped cut the number of drunk driving deaths in half and has served as a lifeline to victims and survivors. We are committed to one goal: ending impaired driving for good. But we need your help.

Impaired driving is not a mistake, it is a choice. The crashes caused by impaired driving end lives violently and cause traumatic injuries, leaving victims and survivors searching for justice that does not come.

The death of 24-year-old Noah Benardout is a tragic example. Noah was killed by a speeding drunk driver while waiting on the sidewalk to cross the street. The violent impact of the car traveling at 70 MPH killed him instantly. Noah's killer was sentenced to ONLY 4 years in state prison, of which he ONLY served 7 weeks before he was moved to a rehabilitation center because he was considered a non-violent offender.

Sadly, Noah's case is not unusual. According to MADD's Court Monitoring Report, only 58% of impaired drivers are convicted, leaving victims and survivors without justice.

Join us today and be a part of our nationwide community of advocates! When you sign this petition, you are sharing your belief that drunk driving is a VIOLENT, 100% PREVENTABLE CRIME and you will fight to save lives until we create a nation of No More Victims.
