Urge the Victorian Government to Save the Smoky Mouse from Extinction

Scientists in Australia are concerned the critically endangered smoky mouse could go extinct, according to a report in The Guardian.

Studies estimate there are only 100 smoky mice left in the wild. Scientists are concerned the lack of programs to monitor the species will mean threats will remain unidentified and it will be difficult to gauge if populations are growing or in decline.

Moreover, without a captive breeding program these small and fragmented colonies are the only chance for the survival of the species.

There's no doubt that action must be taken to save this species!

Will you join me in urging the Victorian Government to take action and support a captive breeding program as well as funding for scientists to monitor smoky mouse populations in the wild?
