wealthy countries like the United States export millions of pounds of plastic waste to poorer developing countries every year. Because plastic waste doesn't decompose,
people in these countries are left exposed to these toxic chemicals at an alarming rate, leading to poor health outcomes globally! As is so often the case, countries that contribute the least to these crises are bearing the consequences the most.
