Tell the UK government — save and protect aid

The Prime Minister's decision to scrap the Department for International Development (DFID) and put the Foreign Office in charge of all UK aid is a bad idea at a bad time.

This is a disaster for taxpayers and for the world's poorest people.

UK Aid must continue to be spent effectively and efficiently to reach those most in need, leaving no one behind.

Far from being a 'cashpoint in the sky' UK Aid has helped the world tackle the coronavirus pandemic, reduce extreme poverty and save lives in emergencies. It's a national asset we should all be proud of.

It's not too late to think again. We need to tell the government to make sure aid continues to reach those who need it most.
