The COVID-19 pandemic has shaken the world to its core. In just three short months, more than 7 million people have been infected with the disease. Although countries are trying to mitigate the spread, infection rates aren't slowing down fast enough. Personal protective equipment (PPE) has become scarce, and the diminishing supply is driving up prices: before the outbreak, one N95 mask cost approximately $0.50. Today, one mask can be as much as $22.00.
Now more than ever, we need your help to provide lifesaving medical supplies in areas that have been hit hardest by COVID-19 and received little to no aid.
International Medical Corps (IMC) is working with international, national and local health bodies to provide training and capacity building; medical equipment and supplies, including PPE; screening and triage stations; assistance with case management; community outreach; and, when requested, Epidemic Response Teams. Our staff includes some of the world's most respected epidemiologists and other medical professionals, experienced in dealing with infectious disease outbreaks anywhere in the world—often in remote and highly challenging environments.
