Petition for removal of Superintendent Kathleen Wood and Board of Education Members for HCSD

As a member of the Harpursville Community, we the undersigned are demanding the following:

  • The immediate removal of Superintendent Kathleen Wood from her position.
  • The immediate removal of the Board of Education Members.
  • The title of "Assistant Superintendent" be rescinded, and an immediate ROBUST State-wide search be enacted for a Highly Qualified Superintendent.
  • A public hearing to review the lack of transparency in hiring for high level positions in our district.
  • An immediate ROBUST State-wide search be enacted for a Highly Qualified CSE chair.
  • We demand that any decisions that were made while violating the open meetings law be void. This would include the change in position for Mr. Josh Quick and termination of Mrs. Lori Boman.

  • The immediate removal of the BOE members who no longer represent the students, parents or community members best interests.

  • The title of "Assistant Superintendent" be rescinded, and an immediate ROBUST State-wide search be enacted for a Highly Qualified Superintendent.

  • A public hearing to review the lack of transparency in hiring for high level positions in our district.

  • An immediate ROBUST State-wide search be enacted for a Highly Qualified CSE chair.

Thank you all for your support in our effort to restore justice to HCSD. Kathy Wood and our Board are undeterred by the overwhelming response to this petition, however our local and state Politicians have takne notice as has an amazing advocacy law firm out of NYC.
